Leap Motion tested with Oculus Rift

Controller Leap Motion, which was supposed to be a real breakthrough in the creation of gestural interfaces after its release proved a serious disappointment to many because of the fact that the technology has not yet been worked out so to be intuitive user friendly. Nevertheless, the project is not closed, it continues to evolve and is likely to receive greater success as a complement to the virtual reality helmets. Recall that the device is equipped with cameras that capture the movement of hands in the space that was originally intended as a replacement for the keyboard and mouse, but now may be an excellent alternative controllers for virtual worlds, like Myo . Due to its small size, Leap Motion can be installed on the virtual reality helmet in such a way as to "see" the user's hands, digitizing them and with high precision to carry traffic in the game, further exacerbating the effect of immersion. How successful will this effort, time will tell, but with the first tests of compatibility Leap Motion and Oculus Rift and their results can be seen in the video in the continuation of the post.
