A joint team of archaeologists from Peru and Poland opened in what is now Peru, the ancient royal burial from 60 mummies inside, 1,200 gold, silver and ceramic objects. Age finds more than 1,000 years old, that is, it refers to the period when these lands have not yet settled the Incas.
Among the mummies, scientists have discovered graves of three princesses that are related to South American culture, known as the Wari.
"This is a unique find. First royal tomb of the Wari culture, which we today know almost nothing," - said the Polish archaeologist Milos Hersh of the University of Warsaw. discovery was made in the region of El Castillo, which is 300 km north of the capital of Peru, Lima. In 2010, not far from here have been found and some other artifacts related to the Wari culture.
Found tomb is located in the ground at a depth of 2 meters, it is hidden from the surface of 33 tons of gravel. In the tomb were buried only women, but the tomb is about 17 meters in length.
