MTS entered into a 4G-contract with Nokia Siemens Networks

European telecoms equipment provider Nokia Siemens Networks has won another contract to build a network of mobile operator "MTS", this time the contact involves the construction of a network 4G. Under the terms of the agreement, Nokia Siemens will start building LTE-network to provide high-speed data transmission.

 At MTS press service reported that the contract is worth 200 million dollars, and in the future, the scope of the contract and its cost can be extended. Previously, MTS entered into a contract with Sweden's Ericsson to build LTE-network in the south of Russia, in the Volga region, Siberia and the Urals. 

The agreement with Nokia Siemens covers the central region, including Moscow. Thus, MTS today there are still two tenders in the Far East and the North-West of the country. recall that in Russia 4G-licenses were allocated a year ago, they got a big three cell phone companies and Rostelecom, which promised to invest in development of networks of at least 15 billion annually by 2019.
