Huawei has developed telecom solutions to switch between LTE and GSM / UMTS

Huawei has conducted a comprehensive testing solutions Ultra-Flash CSFB (Circuit Switched Fallback), designed to significantly improve the quality of the switching of calls between networks, LTE and GSM / UMTS.

After initiating a voice call in LTE network solution Ultra-Flash CSFB enables simultaneous sending to the smartphone display to go from the LTE network to the GSM or UMTS, and sending a reference signal in a circuit switched network to prepare resources for a smartphone.

According to the standard, for CSFB need to first set off on a smartphone display, and only then granted access to the GSM / UMTS. Comprehensive testing was conducted at a research center in Shanghai mLAB Huawei.

It is performed on the current radio access network, core network and a reference packet-switched network using a commercially available smartphone. Test results showed a reduction in connection time by 20% compared with traditional networks calls in GSM or UMTS.
