Stella - minivan on solar energy

Students from the University of Technology, the Netherlands built a car that runs on solar energy. Novice designers are convinced that the earlier machines based on such technology, no one is created.

Mass of the ordinary family car equals only 380 kg, of which 60 kg falls on the battery pack. This was achieved thanks to the ease basis of aluminum and carbon fiber trim. Length of the machine impressive - 4.5 meters and the width is quite modest - 1.65 meters.

The roof is covered with Stella silicon panels that collect energy from the sun. During the movement of the machine produces more electricity than it needs. In cloudy weather, 4-seater car can ride over a distance of 600 km. Maximum speed miracle technology is 110 km / h
