Japanese island ghost on Google Street View

The service Google Street View you can virtually visit quite interesting and unusual places. One of those places was the Japanese island ghost Gunkandzima, abandoned by people nearly 40 years ago. It is noteworthy that the area is closed to people on the Street View is the only possible way to travel in this strange place.

Until 1974, this small island was one of the most densely populated places in the world. After all, here on a piece of land the size of 160 by 480 meters lived more than five thousand people - workers of coal mines, factories, and their families. At Hasim there were 25 shops, two swimming pools, a school, a hospital and even a cemetery.
