Ancestry.com has been under attack by hackers


The popular western genealogical resource Ancestry.com says he set about restoring its website after hacker attack, which led to temporary block this week. In Ancestry.com said that the attack started with DDoS-traffic, but did not touch on the user data. The attack began on Monday and continued until today, inclusive. In Ancestry.com page on Facebook says that the company temporarily shut off some of the resource-intensive applications to stabilize the system. Their work will be fully restored after normalization of traffic. 

"No client data is not affected, the staff working on the restoration of a functional network and prevent similar incidents in the future", - said Scott Sorensen. Ancestry.com was originally established in 1983 as a publishing company, and later it changed its specification for the network and started working on genealogy and network projects.
