iPhone continues to lose market share in favor of Android

 Research firm IDC reported that in the second quarter Apple iPhone has continued to lose market share, while Android has continued to increase it. According to the metric IDC, iPhone continues to be second only to Android, while IDC indicates that the situation may improve for Apple in the fall, when the company may release iPhone 5S, and update the line iPad.

 At the end of the second quarter Android took 79% of the market, vs. 69% a year earlier. The number of sold Android-smartphone has increased in proportion - 74% to 187 million units. At the same time, the number of iPhone sold increased by 20% to 31 million, but the total share of the OS has decreased from 17 to 13%. On the third place is the Windows Phone with 4% in the fourth BlackBerry OS c 3%.
