Samsung is going to buy a German manufacturer of OLED Novaled

     Samsung Electronics is close to buying a German manufacturer of organic light emitting diode OLED Novaled. The deal could be more than $ 200 million. Novaled company specializes in solutions for smart phones and televisions. According to Bloomberg News, formally of the transaction could be announced as early as this week. Sources close to the Novaled, said that in talks with the company takes part of its marketing director Gerd Guenther.

      Sources also indicate that while negotiations have not been completed. Novaled In 2011, the investment has already received support from Samsung Ventures Investment Corp. In early 2012, the company filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Commission about the planned IPO in the U.S., but so far Novaled has not yet entered the market.

     Analysts believe that Samsung needs Novaled, since the latter has a number of important patents related to OLED, a Korean company had previously been called to the courts of several instances of violations related to OLED-patents. At the moment, Samsung's Korean court trying to protect themselves from accusations by LG Electronics, which accuses the world's largest maker of infringing patents.
