Samsung Launches 10-nm NAND-memory modules

Samsung Electronics today announced the "world's fastest" NAND-memory that supports standard eMMC 5.0. The new standard replaces the eMMC 4.5, created about nine months ago. new memory chips are based on 10-nanometer NAND technology and are available in three versions - at 16,32, and 64 GB.

According to the description of the company, the new chips support data rates up to 400 MB / s on the interface, although the real figure writing random data is 90 MB / sec read - 250 MB / s (7000 IOPS). Such a large gap between the reading and writing of data due to the fact that the chips originally designed to work with multithreading read the data. On the cost and the beginning of mass production Samsung has not reported.
